Description
One of our most easily identified woodland plants. The large distinctive flower resembles a person standing in a pulpit, and is sometimes striped brown or purple. Large glossy green leaves are divided into three leaflets. Leaves die back in the summer. The flower stalk remains and develops showy red berries in the late summer. Spreads by seed.
