Exploring the UW Arboretum Grady Tract

May 19, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am

$20.00

Thursday, May 19, 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. $20.00, Limited to 20 people

By popular demand, we return to the beautiful Grady Tract and Greene Prairie to see spring’s glory as Michael Hansen, the Arboretum Land Care Manager, leads us on an exploration of this much-loved part of the Arboretum. We’ll learn about the history of this unique section of the Arboretum, some of the plants and animals that call it home, and the recent research and restoration work being done there…perhaps we’ll be lucky to see work in progress!

No facilities, some uneven and sloping terrain on gravel roads and dirt trails.

Trip will go rain or shine so dress appropriately, but in the event of a thunderstorm the back-up date will be Thursday, May 26. Meet at the Arboretum Visitor Center parking lot at 8:45 a.m. and we will car pool the short distance across the Beltline to the Grady Tract.
