Early fall color will provide the backdrop as Michael Hansen, the Arboretum Land Care Manager, will lead us on an exploration of the Grady Tract. We’ll learn about the history of this unique section of the Arboretum, some of the plants and animals that call it home, and the recent research and restoration work being done there…..perhaps we’ll be lucky to see work in progress!
No facilities, some uneven and sloping terrain on gravel roads and dirt trails. Trip will go on rain or shine so dress appropriately, but in the event of a thunderstorm the back-up date will be October 13.
Meet at the Arboretum Visitor Center parking lot at 8:45 a.m. and we will car pool the short distance across the Beltline to the Grady Tract.
Rain Date: October 13, 9am-12pm.
